Privacy, in plain language

This site is a set of text pages with pictures on them. It does not have an account system, a cart, a comment section or a newsletter. That makes the privacy policy shorter than most, and I would rather write it honestly than pad it out with clauses I copied from somebody else.

What is collected

The web server keeps ordinary access logs: the page you asked for, the time, the browser string your device sends, and the address the request came from. Those logs exist so the site can be kept running and so abuse can be spotted, and they are rotated and discarded on a schedule. They are not used to build a profile of you and they are not sold.

There are no advertising pixels on this site, no analytics script, no social embed and no third-party font. If you see an analytics product claim otherwise, it is not from this site.

Cookies

One functional cookie may be set by the server to remember that you are a returning reader. It contains no personal information. The full list is on the cookies page. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to beyond a functional cookie.

Your rights under Canadian law

This site is operated from Ontario and handles personal information in the ordinary way described by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA): collect the minimum, use it only for the purpose it was collected for, keep it only as long as needed, and give people a way to ask what is held about them. In practice, for this site, that is almost nothing — a server log line and, if you email me, your email.

If you write to me, your message sits in my inbox until I have answered it and tidied up. You can ask me to delete it at any time and I will.

If you came from an advertisement

Some visitors arrive here from an ad. If that is you, a few things are worth stating plainly:

• This site is an independent planning guide. It is not the tower, not the operator, and not a ticket seller.
• We do not sell tickets and never process payments. There is no card form anywhere on this site.
• The advertising platform that showed you the ad may have its own data about that impression. That is between you and the platform; this site does not receive it and does not add to it.
• If an ad promised a price or a discount, check it with the operator. I do not run offers and I cannot honour one.
